Welcome to this years GSAC Basketball Officials Instructional Camp! This camp will be held in conjunction with the Greater San Antonio Chapter High School Showcase Basketball Tournament this July 29th and 30th. The camp fee is $50.00.
This camp will be held at Southwest High School, Southwest Legacy High School, Somerset High School and Somerset Middle School. The Camp introduction and initial training will begin on Friday, July 28th at Southwest High School.
The Greater San Antonio Chapter Officials Camp is an instructional camp focusing on 3-Person mechanics and Basketball Rules knowledge to include managing a complete basketball game and understanding the importance of working with coaches. Campers will be offered principles and philosophies applied to officiating and network with representatives from THSBOA, TAPPS, chapters, and assignors. The camp clinicians are accomplished officials who are effective relaying their experiences, knowledge, and are committed to officials’ advancement. NFHS two-person along with three-person officiating mechanics will be reviewed and utilized throughout camp.
